Japanese Samurai Helmet, very early, Muromachi Hachi or Bowl,
As seen above: I love this helmet : this is the kind of helmet I like to collect best. It's a very early studded HACHI (bowl) ... as the silk and leather parts are no longer there, since this helmet bowl is about 600 years old, early Muromachi. Since it is indeed made of the best iron, it has lasted long --- this helmet from my personal collection. Ready for its Shikoro, as the outside iron liner is still attached. Even the original Kiku pins are still there!!!
